Once upon a time in a dark land a little girl roamed the streets of a seaside city.

She had no family and life was tough as a smaller dog. Food was hard to find and she had to be careful of the bigger dogs. One evening while scavenging in a bin she was befriended by a group of street cleaners. A band of 6-7 young men who worked every night emptying the bins of the city and sweeping the streets. They took pity on the pup and started to look in the bins for food, so they could feed her. Her name became Scoobie. This turned into beautiful friendship and every evening she would run to the park at 8pm to meet the boys at the start of their round and then follow them around the city.

After several months some volunteers from FAR were working in the city and while looking for a place to eat they came across the boys and Scoobie. When the street cleaners found out about the work of FAR they begged the volunteers to take Scoobie as they were worried that she might get hit by a car or taken by the dogcatcher. How could the volunteers say no? So Scoobie said goodbye to her dear friends and started the next stage of her journey.

Scoobie is cute and smart. A mixture of dog parts, but we think she is adorable.

Scoobie is now in foster in Dorset. Here is what her foster mum has to say about her:

Sccobie is very affectionate and loves cuddles. Clean in the house, good on and off the lead, with good recall. . She is a strong girl who loves her food. I have to ration her a bit. Very good with people and other dogs, but a bit nervous of bigger ones. She’s very energetic and loves long walks! She has a lot of energy so will need a family who will take her on adventures.

Scoobie is happy to mix with children and other dogs while out on her walks but can be a little wary of big dogs.

Scoobie has not been blessed with the accepted cuteness. She has a long body and short legs. Her ears are a little too big for her head but truly her personality makes up for everything.

Scoobie comes with full rescue back up. Adoption donation and home check apply.
