Meet Pumpkin: A Brave Little Survivor Ready to Blossom

Meet Pumpkin… ❤

Pumpkin is an absolute star! At just 6 months old and weighing 11kg, she’s set to be a medium-sized bundle of joy. With her fluffy coat, stunning colouring, bushy tail, and soft fur, Pumpkin is as gorgeous as she is sweet.

She’s a gentle, playful soul who gets on brilliantly with her older foster siblings and has made lots of doggy friends at the park. She’s never shown any aggression and loves being part of whatever’s going on. Pumpkin thrives on attention and loves people, always ready to join in the fun.

Like most puppies, she’s full of cheeky energy. She loves nothing more than digging into her basket of toys, zooming around the house with them for an hour before curling up for a well-earned nap—only to start all over again. She’s particularly talented at fetch, zooming after the ball with speed and enthusiasm, so we think she’d really enjoy flyball or agility in the future.

Pumpkin is already showing great progress in her training. She’s fully house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night as long as she’s near her people or other dogs, and has started lead training. She’s also worn a harness and travels well in the car. While she can be nervous around traffic, she’d be happiest in a quieter, rural area.

Although she could potentially be a solo dog, Pumpkin loves to play and would benefit from a home with another playful pup to keep her company and help her continue her socialisation. She’s been left alone for a few hours and behaved beautifully—although her foster mum did catch her sneaking a loaf of bread off the counter!

Pumpkin isn’t a fan of cats but absolutely adores ham and will sit like a pro for a slice. Whoever welcomes Pumpkin into their life is in for such a treat. She’s a fabulous little pup who’s full of love, energy, and character—a real joy to have around. 🐾

Her Story
Pumpkin and her mum were cruelly abandoned on the outskirts of a village, left beside a holy cross—meant as a symbol of protection. Desperately seeking food and warmth, they tried to enter people’s gardens but were chased off with kicks and blows, forced to survive in the surrounding fields. Frightened and starving, they evaded capture until, fittingly, Pumpkin was finally rescued on Halloween.

Pumpkin comes with full rescue back up. Adoption donation and home check apply.
