Introducing Thalia
Thalia came into foster on 16th December and in the words of her foster mum ‘she is an absolute dream’
This little girl is the epitome of loving and friendly . She walks lovely on the lead and enjoys going out with a friend’s dog who is a large rough collie . She doesn't react to people or dogs while walking in the daylight but tends to be more wary in the dark. Initially she was frightened of cars and bikes but is now much calmer when they pass .
Thalia is soft and gentle with the foster’s grandchildren and they in turn adore her. She is a very clever girl . She asks to go out when she needs to and has had very few accidents.
Thalia can be a little fretful when she is left alone but her foster mum has been incrementally building up the time she is left and she does settle after 5-10 minutes. She will need a home where her new parents will have the time to continue this. She currently lives as an only dog but would be happy to have a furry sibling.
History
On the edge of Braila there is a Salt Lake Resort. It is very pretty and surrounded by woods. It is a well known dumping ground for dogs. Too far away for them to find their way home At the beginning of the year the dogcatcher rounded up over 200 dogs in that area and they were all destroyed. Sadly though the population is quickly building up again. A waitress working in the resort came across Thalia. She was still a puppy and had been bitten badly by a bigger dog. Her wound was nasty. She took her to the vet and then asked our rescuer to take her.
