Katie - A Playful, Clever, and Loyal Companion Looking for Her Forever Home
Katie (Kit Kat) desperately needs your help…
KitKat came to the UK as a puppy and was quickly adopted. Sadly, after two years she was surrendered, and since then she has had a very turbulent time. She has been in several foster homes and kennels, but they have never been quite the right fit for her.
However, she is very happy in her current foster home but sadly her foster mum is moving to Australia. KitKat lives as an only dog with her foster mum who works full time. KitKat is very happy on her own and she is never destructive and never goes to toilet in the house. A quiet space does suit her.
She has two walks a day with a group of dogs who she loves to play with. She also has an hour’s playtime in the neighbour’s garden with the dogs who live there. KitKat is exceptionally clever but also can be a little stubborn at times. She does need a family who have experience with dogs.
She adores people but is not fond of cats. She is incredibly loyal and when her foster mum recently had a fall on the walk KitKat sprinted back to her, crying, and licking her face. Even trying to help her up.
So we are desperately seeking a forever or foster home for Katie to prevent her from returning to kennels. She is an energetic dog so will need a substantial amount of exercise. She is very exuberant so a quiet home would suit her. She intermittently pulls on the lead but is easily corrected. Extremely smart and responds to basic commands. She can be left happily for several hours with no barking or destructive behaviour. She is housetrained but does not like cats.
