Alberta: 15 Months in Foster, Zero Applications! This Sweet, Shy Girl Deserves a Chance! πŸ’”

Alberta is a super sweet dog whose been in foster for Fifteen months!!

Another update - 1st December. Still nothing. Alberta’s mum recently came over and she was adopted within a month. Poor Alberta feels so unwanted.

introducing Alberta. She is 2.5 years old and has been in her foster home in Buckinghamshire for 15 months. NOT ONE APPLICATION. 😒

She was found as a puppy abandoned all by herself on the outskirts of town. The lady who owns the junkyard took her in which is where she grew up. Growing up in such isolation made her very wary of people, new situations and noises. She arrived in the UK as a very frightened girl but has made the most miraculous progress and never once showed any aggression.

From her foster mum

Alberta is such a great dog; her nickname is Pancake due to the large patch on her back. When she first arrived, she was very scared but she has come such a long way and now loves her playtime in the park and meeting up with her doggy pals.

She has a real funny side and this shines when she's feeling safe. Watching her run around in the park is a joy. She has just learned to play fetch, it was someone else's ball and intended for another dog but we are taking it as win!

She has so much to offer her new family and we have only scratched the surface of this amazing dog.

She gets on great with her foster sister and will boss her around and demand to play.

She eats well and has food puzzles when left alone. She is a lovely dog with so much potential and a super gentle nature. She will make a great companion for someone. Someone who will give continue to give her the time to keep growing in confidence and start to show her true personality.

She can still be frightened of loud noises, and motorbikes and will sit down until she feels ok. She has a real funny side and this shines when she's feeling safe. She loves to share my bed and firmly believe's that two thirds of it are legally hers. She has so much to offer her new family and we have only scratched the surface of this amazing dog.
