Ruthie

Hi everyone my name is Ruthie and I am nearly 2 years old.

I came to the UK just 3 weeks ago and I am staying in Dorset. I have to admit I was apprehensive. You hear of so many stories about how one has to adjust to our new lives and how it takes time and patience. Well I don’t want to boast but I have taken to living in my warm and comfy foster home like a duck to water.

I love going on walks especially on the beach. I just wish I had got here sooner. Now I love my foster mum but I do really need my own family. Once I move on, my fabulous foster mum can bring another one of my friends over. So please if I look like your type of girl please follow the link to my application form.

Ruthie was found abandoned in a field with her friend Tibbi. On her visit to the vet she was found to have Heartworm.  Because of this she could not travel on the Freedom Bus with her friend and had to stay in Romania receiving treatment. She has now finished the course of injections.  

We are looking for a family for this little 6 kgs girl, who will be prepared to administer a tablet once a month for 6 months to ensure the parasite is completely cleared.

We have had many dogs come over after being treated for heartworm and all go one to have happy and healthy lives.  We sincerely hope this will not prevent Ruthie getting her forever home.

Please note, we are unable to consider for adoption for Ruthie:

• People under 25 years old

• People with children under 10 years old

• Homes without a secure garden

• Families with un-neutered dogs

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours.
