This is what his foster mummy has to say:

Ricky settled right from the start. He loves being outside and after just 10 days he has got used to the lead, great off the lead with good recall. He knows when his lead is put on we are going out and he sits and waits by the gate, then jumps straight in the car.

No problems meeting other dogs and very friendly with other people. He is cat tested and has met the children next door. Just laid there wanting a stroke. Ricky is clean indoors. There have been no signs of aggression, not greedy with his food and gets rewarded with a treat. He is so affectionate, loves cuddles and follows me everywhere. He will make a wonderful addition to any family.

You may ask why he doesn’t get a score of 10. He is a little wary of loud traffic when road walking so sometimes needs to stop and be reassured.

Ricky is 18 months old and in foster in Dorset. He is a very active little dog who will need good walks despite his size.

Ricky comes with full rescue back up. Adoption donation of £300 and home check apply.

• People with children under 10 years old

• People under 25 years old

• Homes without direct access to a private and secure garden

• Homes where the dog will have to be left alone more than 4 hours.
