Meet Nadia: The Sweet and Playful Puppy Ready to Steal Your Heart
Nadia is a gentle, happy little puppy who's quickly overcome her initial shyness and is now eagerly looking for a loving forever home…
Nadia is such a sweetheart - super gentle and pretty calm, especially for a young puppy.
When she first arrived she was absolutely terrified and sat in her bed shaking, but came around quickly, especially when there was some roast chicken on offer!
She is still a little nervous of new experiences and places, but just a little cautious and comes round quickly with reassurance.
She's such a happy little thing, following closely wherever you're going, interested in what's going on.
We've had a few visitors and shes not been fazed by them, trotting over happily for lots of fusses. She will sit nice and calmly for fusses.
She's doing really well with her toilet training. I would say 80% of the way there - she tends to pee in the exact same spots so we can follow her cues, and poops - apart from first night - have all been outside.
She doesn't come up onto the sofa, and although she has tried a couple of times, once she's told 'ah-ah' she will get straight down and will stay on the floor.
She was a little nervous of our big daft labrador to start off with, but once the proper introduction had been made, was totally fine. I think she would be ok with or without another resident dog.
Cat wise - she has met our cat, she wanted to sniff lots very cautiously, but when she got too close our cat gave her a little bat and she left him alone - when the cat is higher than her in the house she will bark at him, but will stop once told.
Children - she wants to play with them, but doesn't want them to play with her 🤭 she will follow them, and run round the garden with them, but as soon as they take notice of her she panics a bit and backs off, but still wanting to be involved. I think over time this would get better when she's comfortable - she will sleep in the same room when the kids are playing so not frightened of them, I think the erratic movements are what can make her uneasy.
She sleeps downstairs overnight and will cry for a few minutes initially, but then we don't hear a peep out of her until morning.
She's not shown any resource guarding and shares toys. She's a typical puppy and will try and run off with the kids toys, but you can take them off her easily, no tug of wars. She has her little toys and likes to chew them, but not chewed anything else, no destructive behaviour.
She's not phased by household noises, and sat still in her bed watching the hoovering so wasn't spooked by that at all.
She is like a little pocket rocket and I believe with some training would make a fabulous agility / flyball dog - she's going to make someone a great little companion.
