Dear little Idris
Please give a moment to Idris.
23rd July Update from his Foster Mummy:
Quite genuinely he’s been easier than both ghost and Geoffy, he seems to absolutely adore humans (at least with us and he was confident when he tagged along to our Sunday walk). Very inquisitive had no quibbles running straight up the stairs, in the cage no worries. He’s got classic puppy energy but he listens to a firm lay down and copies our boys if there is any acting up. I think he’d settle in very well especially with another friendly dog. He’s respected the other two boundaries and the only accidents have been sheer excitement or when ghost told him off over food. But for a rescue hes remarkably cuddle and placid to me giving him fusses. And this is only after 48hrs. I think a confident loving dog person will have no trouble at all.
His Foster Mummy said he has slept most of the day, (ours are quite lazy used to me working all day until later walks) so he seems quite laid back and goes with the flow. He will go nuts in the classic puppy bumbling way once we up and moving though. Just got to keep it up as he matures into a teen!

We first met Idris when he was living under some concrete steps of an apartment building. He was with his sister and they were only two months old. Sadly the little girl was lost to Parvo but Idris was spared and did no contract the disease.
Idris is now in foster in Cheshire. From his foster mum
Within 24 hours we all had fallen for Idris. He is a little goofball who is all legs… he is loving the garden, the new smells and his favourite sport is chasing flies. He is very food oriented (to be expected) which helps with training. He is already learning to sit and wait . He is very confident with our other dogs, wanting to play.. but he is doggy aware and will leave them alone when they tell him off. He also doesn’t seem bothered by our cats. He is already toileting in the garden but will need continued focus in this area. We travelled 2 hours in the car after collecting him and he was very settled and just slept. Crate training is going well and he already knows that’s his safe space and will go in there for a nap.
Idris is confident in the house but on walks is a little nervous of people… we are working on that and this will need to be continued… but his lead walking is amazing.. no pulling and trots nicely by your side He’s an intelligent little lad… already is sitting, waiting for his food and learning to settle… He’s very loving and just melts into you for cuddles.. He’s a trusting little boy considering the start he has had in life and he has taken to us all so well.
A little goofy ball of fun and love who will be a great addition to any house
