Fortuna's Fight for Life: A Tale of Survival, Healing, and Endless Love
Fortuna’s story is a heart warming reminder that even after the toughest beginnings, there’s always room for love and happiness…
Hello everybody !!
My name is Fortuna. I was named this as I am lucky to be alive. But now I am in the UK my lovely foster parents call me Lucy - and my nickname is Loops. I had a pretty rough start, living on the streets and I had puppies who all died before they could be rescued.. some of the puppies weren’t born and this led to me having surgery and the vets noticed I had also been severely beaten around my back end, so much that my tail doesn’t work anymore - but you’d never know because by some miracle I am the most loving and affectionate little lady…
I have been living in my foster home with my foster mum and dad and my two foster brothers Teddy & Rex who all love me.
I have learned that my wees and poops go outside, and I love my purple harness and posh collar and my favourite things to do are walks in the woods, playing with soft toys, sleeping and cuddles.
I have also learned how to do my night time wee on my own in the garden, with no lead, and I come straight inside when I am called. I also sit and stay and I am understand “No” and when I am a “good girl” .. my daddy says with some training I could be a super dog because I am very clever - when I focus.
I love cuddles with daddy, my bedtime cookie and I do have a pretty good Zoomie (Loops remember) .. I love meeting new doggies and I’m very friendly and I am not phased by any breed or size - everyone is my friend if they’re furry..
I am not aggressive but I am nervous around new people and the excited energy of children - and I really don’t like footballs. I would probably be better suited to a home without small children.
I am very quiet and I don’t bark much - in fact the only time I make a noise really is when I’m waiting for my food and I get very excited.. so I have a special bowl to slow me down a bit but I’m getting better every day.
I would benefit from an experienced owner to help train me and give me lots of love and attention, and I would thrive in a house where there is another dog or dogs for me to have as company - or with a mum and/or dad who are home a lot and want to spend time with me when I’m not flat out and snoring!!
Im just a very loving, soft and affectionate little girl who’s had a terrible start and now deserve a loving kind family x
