Happy Gotcha Day Neo!

All of us who have a rescue dog will remember they day they arrived, some come a bag of nerves, others brimming with confidence. We refer to that first day as our 'Gotcha-Day' and celebrate in the years to come. This is Neo's 'Happy Gotcha-Day', written by his Mum Linzi

A year ago Neo came to live with us, rescued by Camelia Lungu from his dumping place and with the relentless work of the charity Freedom Angels Romania he was given a second chance. He's a complete goof, everyone that meets him looks in those big brown eyes and sees the special boy he is.

In 12 months, Neo has helped me rehome at least 6 other dogs, including his little sister Lulu who arrived with us three months later. He has helped me raise awareness of adopting rescue dogs, has encouraged me to volunteer for the charity, and has helped raise £1000 towards the never-ending costs of rescuing and educating at home and abroad.

Here is to more years with Neo, supporting the charity, the rescuers and changing lives forever'

Linzi is an amazing Foster-Mum, and kindly donates time to support new adopters on the journey with their newly rescued Angel, by volunteering as a 'Follow Up Coordinator', FUC's as they are known, stay in touch over the weeks and months, giving advice and guidance when needed. Needless to say this role is invaluable to new adopters and the charity alike.

If you would like to consider volunteering, please find the information you need here.
