Introducing Cilla
Cilla has not had an easy journey.
Cilla came to the UK as a puppy and spent the first two years, living happily with the family that adopted her. But then her family said her personality just changed, no longer wanted her and dropped her off at our kennels. In kennels she looked so forlorn and dejected that one of our volunteers took her home with her.
Once home our volunteer could see Cilla was not right in some way and after examination she was diagnosed with a extreme urinary tract infection. This has now been easily treated but being in pain for so long forced Cilla to develop some behavioural issues.
Her amazing foster mum has been working hard with her and 7 months on she is a different girl. This is what her foster mum has to say about her.
Cilla is a unique and quirky little girl who has been let down by humans. She is sweet, affectionate, clever and playful. She pulls and makes the most extraordinary faces and noises that are in contrast to how she is feeling. When she is having tummy rubs or being dried with her towel her growling and snarling would make one think she was being murdered but this is how she shows she IS HAPPY.
She hates the rain but loves her food. She loves to sunbathe and rolling in frosty grass is one of her favourite things to do. She does get nervous on the lead but is great off lead and loves to run.
Cilla currently lives with cats, house rabbits and guinea pigs. She does bark at sheep when she comes across them.
As you have deduced from her bio, Cilla is a special girl who does need a special person to guide her through life with love and understanding.
